It's too simple (maybe for me). I would like to find something like chord progression example that works fine with uplifting music, some trick about create tension, energy, melodic taste.
It's perfect for beginner.
Thanks for the honest review — appreciate it
You're right that this one's aimed at beginners, so if you're already past that stage it'll feel too simple. Fair enough.
What you're describing — chord progressions, tension, energy, melodic taste — that's deeper music theory territory and there's no real shortcut to it. It's also why I teach that side of things in 1-2-1 sessions rather than a PDF. It needs the basics of music theory as a foundation first, and that's much easier to work through together than to self-study from a document.
Glad it's helping producers earlier in the journey though
As a beginner in making music, this really helped me. Low cost for a lot of help including writing simple chord progressions. It was even more helpful as I haven't learned to play the piano/keyboard. would highly recommend.
This has helped me a lot with writing my melodies! Steve gives a great method of how to write melodies without needing to know anything about music theory. It is so simple to follow, it will for sure help you with making great melodies! A fantastic buy!
